Privacy Policy

Effective September 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tenet, LLC ("Tenet," "we," "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use the Tenet marketing website at www.tenetfpa.com (the "Site"), the Tenet web application at app.tenetfpa.com (the "App"), and the Tenet add-in for Microsoft Excel (the "Add-in"). Together we call these the "Services."

Financial and planning data that a customer loads into Tenet is handled differently from personal information about you. See "Customer Data" below.

Information You Provide to Us

Waitlist and demo requests. When you join the waitlist or request a demo on the Site, we collect your first and last name, work email address, phone number, and, for demo requests, your company name, company headcount, country, and any message you include. You can also tell us whether you want to be notified when Tenet becomes available to you.

Account information. When you create an account or sign in to the App or the Add-in, we collect your name, email address, and the organization you belong to. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and a profile identifier from that provider. We do not receive your password for those accounts.

Billing information. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle. Paddle collects your payment card or bank details directly. We receive your billing name, email address, billing country, subscription plan, and transaction status. We never receive or store full payment card numbers.

Communications. If you contact us for support or any other reason, we keep the messages and any information you choose to include.

Information We Collect Automatically

Usage and device information. When you use the Services, our servers and hosting providers record your IP address, browser type, operating system, the pages or screens you view, the date and time of your visit, and the page that referred you.

Marketing attribution. When you arrive at the Site, we store a first-party cookie named tenet_attr that records the campaign parameters in the link you followed (such as utm_source and utm_campaign), advertising click identifiers (such as gclid and fbclid), the referring page, and the page you landed on. It lasts 90 days. If you later submit a form, we attach this attribution to your submission so we know which campaign brought you to us.

Analytics and advertising tags. When enabled, the Site loads Google Tag Manager, which may run Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. These tools use cookies and similar technologies to measure how visitors use the Site and how our advertising performs.

Product analytics and error reporting. We use, or may use, PostHog in the App and the Add-in to understand which features are used and to capture error reports when something goes wrong. These reports can include your account identifier, the screen you were on, and technical details about the error.

The Excel Add-in

The Add-in runs inside Microsoft Excel and connects your workbook to your Tenet account. It only reads and writes the worksheet content you act on: the ranges you select, the cells you pull Tenet data into, the ranges you bind to Tenet, and the named items in the workbook that those functions rely on. It does not scan other workbooks, files on your computer, or content you have not directed it to use.

When you run a Tenet function or submit data, the values and formulas in the ranges involved are sent to our servers to calculate results or record your submission. The Add-in stores a sign-in token in the browser storage that Excel provides so you stay signed in between sessions. Signing out removes it.

Microsoft controls the Excel environment the Add-in runs in and any installation through Microsoft Marketplace. Microsoft's handling of that information is described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Customer Data

"Customer Data" means the financial, planning, and business data that a customer and its users load into Tenet through the App, the Add-in, or data imports. Customer Data belongs to the customer. We process it on the customer's behalf and under the customer's instructions, as set out in the subscription agreement between Tenet and that customer.

We access Customer Data only to provide and maintain the Services, to give support the customer has asked for, to protect the security of the Services, or when the law requires it. We do not sell Customer Data, use it for advertising, or use it to build products for anyone other than that customer. If you are a user of a Tenet customer and have questions about how that customer handles your information, contact the customer directly.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

Service Providers

We share personal information with companies that process it on our behalf to run the Services. Each provider is permitted to use the information only to perform its services for us. Our current providers are:

Some of these providers have their own privacy policies that govern information they collect directly from you, such as Paddle when you enter payment details or Google and Microsoft when you sign in. We recommend reading them.

Other Disclosures

We may also disclose personal information:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. The Site uses the tenet_attr attribution cookie described above and, when enabled, the analytics and advertising cookies set by Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and the Meta pixel.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in to the App. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on and manage Meta advertising preferences in your Facebook account settings.

Marketing Communications

If you join the waitlist, request a demo, or ask to be notified, we may email you about Tenet's availability, features, and news. You can stop these emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at the address below. We will still send transactional messages about your account, billing, and the Services.

Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as you have an account or an active relationship with us, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Waitlist and demo request contacts are kept until you ask us to remove them or we determine they are no longer needed. Customer Data is retained according to the subscription agreement and is deleted or returned when that agreement ends, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hosting with providers that maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

Where Information Is Processed

Tenet is based in the United States and our providers store and process information in the United States. If you access the Services from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.

Children

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

You can review and update your account information in the App. You can ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by contacting us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. If you are a user of a Tenet customer, we may refer your request to that customer, since they control Customer Data.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or through the Services. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise any of the choices above, email us at support@tenetfpa.com.
